My Dis-Chem Baby Bag

Getting free goodies could not come at a more convenient time than when you are about to have a baby. Costs add up so quickly and I appreciate it when brands and companies take the time to offer customers a small thank you for your support. My last "freebies" post was a Momentum Health rewards program, Momentous Baby, where they sent a baby bag full of free products. You can read more here.

I'd like to share another baby program, this time offered by Dis-Chem Pharmacies. Here's how it works.

Call or go to your nearest Dis-Chem branch anytime from when you are 12 weeks and onward. They will register you for the program and give you a loyalty card if you do not already have one. You will then need to shop at any Dis-Chem branch (remember to swipe your loyalty card) and accumulate enough points to qualify for the free baby bag. The current point requirement is 975 points which is roughly R600.00 and this can be spent on the purchase of any products, not just baby products.

Once you have accumulated your points and you have reached 28 weeks, you will need to book a consultation with a Dis-Chem nurse where she will ask you basic questions and do a small health check (blood pressure, heart rate and weight check). Once you have seen the nurse, check when you can collect your baby bag from your Dis-Chem branch (mine only took a week from seeing the nurse).

The baby bag has some really great products in it and the bag itself is really pretty. Please note that all bag contents will differ as product sponsorship and availability changes quite frequently (e.g. most baby bags I saw on Twitter contained sanitary pads and my bag did not)

Here's mine!

  • Baby Things satchel bag with waterproof changing mat.
  • Dis-Chem magazine with promotional information.
  • Baby things travel size products - Body wash, shampoo and baby oil (80ml).
  • Dis-Chem surgical spirits and some cotton balls (50ml).
  • Sample size Bepanthen nappy cream (3.5g - apparently also useful as a nipple balm).
  • Small hand sanitizer (20ml).
  • Small pack of travel wipes.
  • Madaji rich milking cream with lanolin.
  • 4 Pampers premium care nappies in size 1 with info booklet.
Overall these products are very helpful and handy to have around in preparation for your baby! Share your Dis-chem bag contents in the comments below :)

More Purr-lease - Your Free Hill's Kitty Bowl!

I constantly remind my cats that they are very spoiled and live a pretty good life. I answer to their every meow and every request for food. This week was no different. I repeated the words as I showed them the gift they received from Hill's Pet Nutrition. They were thoroughly spoiled with this free Kitty Bowl and some yummy Hill's food. You can also get this adorable Kitty Bowl and here's how:

The Cats gift from Hill's

Hill's Pet Nutrition is running a promotion in May 2017 where you will get a free whisker-friendly Kitty Bowl when you purchase any bag of Hill’s cat food, 1.3kg or larger. You will be able to get this from your nearest Vet or Hill's stockist. I recommend jumping on this opportunity ASAP because these whisker friendly bowls are too cute and limited stock is available so first come first serve!
