So I'm Pregnant

11:30

Like really pregnant! This pregnancy was a secret for a long time due to experiencing multiple miscarriages over the past 2 years. I still cannot believe I get to keep this precious baby tumbling in my belly! I though it would be a good idea to document my progress at least once a month, continuing as far as I can.

How far along?
22 Weeks (5 and a half months)

Total weight gain/measurements
At my 16 week prenatal appointment I weighed 66.2 (145.9 lbs) and at 20 weeks I weighed 68.2kg (150.3 lbs). That is only a 2kg (4.4 lbs) increase which is a lot better than I was expecting seeing as those 4 weeks fell over Christmas and the holidays where I ate and snacked a lot.

Maternity clothes
Definitely. Look at that bump! Don't forget to visit my tutorial on easy DIY maternity pants.

Stretch marks?
No new stretch marks beside the ones I have from high school. I am currently using Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula massage lotion for stretch marks. I am only applying once a day but will increase that to twice a day as my waist expands.

Sleep
I am a very light sleeper and I rarely sleep right through the night. Between bathroom breaks and a kicking baby, I get up about 3-4 times a night but I go back to sleep again relatively easily.

Best moment this week
Feeling little baby kick more and her kicks getting stronger.

Miss anything?
Sushi and an ice cold glass of Brandy and Coke :)

Movements
Yip! I can definitely differentiate between rolling movements and cheeky little kicks.

Food cravings
A lot of juicy fruit.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
No. Luckily!

Gender
A bouncing little baby GIRL!

Labour signs
None. Lets keep it that way for a while.

Symptoms
A bit of back pain from cleaning the house and doing laundry. Just a small reminder to take it easy! I also have an increase in thirst which, in turn, makes me use the loo a lot more often.

Belly button in or out?
In.

Wedding rings on or off?
On :)

Happy or moody most of the time?
A bit of both. I feel like I have less patience with people so as long as no one urks me then I'm in a happy mood. This is difficult as my job entails dealing with clients and their problems. Bleh!

Looking forward to
Reaching 24 weeks which is a big milestone in regards to viability. Should baby girl be born from 24-25 weeks, her chances of survival are 50%-70%! From 26-27 weeks chances of survival are 90%. Let the weeks roll on by!

If you are interested in these posts then I could do them bi-weekly rather than monthly. Let me know. You can also follow me on Instagram where I will post a lot of baby things and bump-dates.

Xoxo
